  • Lovelace Therapy is located on Vashon Island. The address is 17141 Vashon Highway SW, Suite A #109, Vashon, WA 98070.

  • I offer Telehealth appointments to clients who live anywhere in Washington State. I also offer a limited number of in-person appointments to clients on Vashon Island.

  • Telehealth is a wonderful option that provides both flexibility and convenience for my clients. I offer secure video sessions through a HIPAA-compliant platform, which you can access from your phone, tablet, or computer. Before your session, you’ll receive a private link - no downloads required. Just click to join at your scheduled time.

Telehealth allows you to meet from the comfort of your home or another private space. It’s a convenient way to assess therapy, especially if you have a busy schedule or live outside the Vashon Island area. As long as you’re located in Washington State, we can work together online.

  • During our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’d like to focus on, and any patterns or concerns you’ve noticed. I’ll also ask some background questions to better understand your story and current situation.

You don’t need to come in with all the answers. Many clients are still sorting out what they want from therapy - that’s something we can clarify together. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, heard, and ready to take the next step.

  • There is no fixed timeline. Some clients come in with a specific goal and feel ready to move on after a few sessions. Others stay longer to explore the stories and patterns that have shaped their lives. We’ll work together to define what meaningful change looks like for you - and check in along the way to make sure therapy is still meeting your needs.

  • My fee is $130 per 50-minute session. I accept credit or debit cards, which are securely stored on file and charged 24 hours before each session begins.

I offer a limited number of sliding-scale sessions as part of my commitment to making therapy accessible. Please reach out if you’d like to ask about current availability.

  • I don’t bill insurance or provide super bills for reimbursement. This allows us to keep your therapy fully private and focused on what matters most to you, without needing to assign a diagnosis or share records with insurance companies.

Many clients find this gives them greater freedom in setting goals or shaping their work in therapy. Payments are paid directly before the start of each session.

  • The Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is part of the No Surprises Act. It gives you a written estimate of the cost of therapy services so you can make informed decisions about your care.

As a self-pay client, you’re entitled to receive a GFE before beginning treatment or at any point you request one. It outlines the expected fees for services you may receive over a 12-month period.

Keep in mind, your actual number of sessions may be more or fewer than estimated - therapy is a flexible process based on your needs and goals. You’re always welcome to ask questions about fees or frequency at any time.

  • You can reach out to me by email, phone, or through my website.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please give at least 24 hours notice. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice - or missed without notice- will be charged the full session fee.

That said, I understand that life happens. I offer one late cancellation “grace” per client, no questions asked.

Arriving more than 15 minutes after the start of your scheduled appointment will result in your appointment being cancelled and a late-cancellation fee being charged, unless previously arranged with your therapist.

  • Yes, therapy is confidential. What you share in session stays between us. I won’t share your information with anyone unless you give written permission.

There are a few legal exceptions to confidentiality, including situations involving:

    • Immediate risk of harm to yourself or others

    • Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, dependent adult, or vulnerable elder

    • Court orders or other legal requirements

These limits are in place to ensure safety. If you ever have questions or concerns about confidentiality, I’ll be glad to talk through them with you.
